Education = Success.
I see it time and time again. “Experienced” agents are so busy in their disorganized business that they neglect their education. To me, education is key. It’s the closest thing to a “shortcut” that you’ll ever find when climbing the latter to success.
Look around. A large percentage of the real estate industry views clock hours and education as a task. They sign up for hours at the last minute before their license renewal and then all they do is waste their time there. They run out the door at every break and jump on the phone. Or, they sign up for classes online and just click through the buttons until the hours are satisfied. Do they like to waste their hard earned money?
In my opinion there are two main reasons why we should take the time to sit in a classroom. First, the
information that you will learn from other’s experiences in class can save you years of learning it on your own. Second, this is a chance to build your referral network with other agents. Yes, we can work together with other agents, look at AR. I recommend taking classes in locations that are connected to yours. Where are buyers moving from? Where are your sellers moving to? Go there. During the class breaks and lunches, get to know the agents in that area. Make it your goal to earn twice as much in referrals as you paid for the class!
Take yourself to the next level. Get educated! You might even enjoy it.
